Guidelines for Admission into MH Samorita Medical College:

Students must have qualifying marks they achieved in their NEET Examination.

Applicants must have completed qualifying exams such as HSLC, ‘A’ level, or an equivalent exam.

Candidates should have finished their SSC/‘O’ level or an equivalent exam no earlier than 2017 and their HSC/‘A’ level or an equivalent exam. 

The minimum cumulative GPA required for both SSC/‘O’ level and HSC/‘A’ level (or their equivalents) is 7.00.

Additionally, candidates need to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in their SSC/‘O’ level as well as in their HSC/‘A’ level (or equivalent).

For Biology specifically, the minimum GPA required is 3.5, indicating that students must score at least 60 marks in that subject to be eligible for admission.

When calculating the GPA for the SSC/‘O’ level, only the top five subjects are considered. The formula for this is (total marks in top five subjects) divided by 5.

If a student’s GPA is below 5, an optional subject can be included in the calculation.

In the case of the HSC/‘A’ level, the GPA is calculated using only the three main subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The GPA is determined by (total marks in these three subjects) divided by 3.
